SUMMER BELT
WHO IS SHE?
Summer Belt is a Nashville based singer / songwriter who combines her love of classic rock with her modern and alternative influence. Her biggest inspirations include ACDC, Prince, Aerosmith and Van Halen as well as Halestorm, Foo Fighters, Soundgarden and Miley Cyrus. Summer has stated “what i want in a rock song is a big fat riff, lots of dynamics and at least one absolutely shredding solo” Her high energy music will get your blood pumping and bring college parties and 80s band green rooms straight out of your speakers.
Summer grew up on a goat farm in rural Indiana where she began studying classical piano at the age of 3 with the ambition of becoming a composer. However her inspiration took a shift after beginning to share a love of classic rock with her dad who went on to buy her first guitar and drive her the long journey out of the cornfields to Indianapolis to start gigging. She began songwriting at the age of 12 and never stopped, releasing her debut album, Save The World, when she was 15. In the following years she continued working on a variety of projects such as releasing another single and winning multiple awards including Battle Of The Bands and Berklee’s Songwriters Showcase. During this time she also performed internationally in places such as NYC, London and Ibiza, Spain. In 2020 Summer moved to Nashville and attended the SAE Institute of Technology where she graduated with an associate’s degree in Entertainment business. She continued on to sign with indie record label Brain Candy Management and released 3 singles. She performed at venues such as City Winery and Analog Hotel, went on a small Midwest tour and was featured on XPLR, Lightning 100, Music Mecca and the Sam Alex Show. In the summer of 2023 Summer separated from the label to work independently and is now preparing for a new release.
